Tacky Light Tour Reveals Award Winners

On August 1, the Tacky Light Tour revealed the winners of 10 annual awards. The Tacky Awards are the annual Who’s Who of Christmas enthusiasts. The DIY Christmas light displays were nominated by registered users at www.tackylighttour.com during 2022. Each registered user has a ballot they can cast one vote for each of the 10 awards.

Each of the 10 awards are inspired by popular characters from Christmas movies like The Christmas Story, The Grinch, Charlie Brown, The Elf and, of course, Christmas Vacation. Each award represents a different aspect of DIY Christmas lighting. For example, the Clark Griswold naturally represents the display most likely to be seen from space and the Ralphie hilariously represents the most dangerous.

If you have a Christmas display with at least 10,000 Christmas lights be sure your display is registered at www.tackylighttour.com. Then, ask your friends, family and fans to nominate you for a specific award. Some Christmas displays like Pierce Lights in Alpharetta, Georgia use their display to encourage their audience to go to www.tackylighttour.com to support them.
