Surprising a Loved One with Christmas Lights after Christmas: A South Carolina Family’s Story

Surprising Christmas Lights
Surprising Christmas Lights

For one South Carolina family, a special someone was coming in January and they wanted to start the new chapter with a bit of Christmas cheer. Heather and Patrick Dale love Christmas just as much as anyone, so they decided to keep their treasure trove of decorations up through February to surprise Patrick’s dad, Daniel Dilworth.

At 91 years old, they wanted him closer to family and care for him in his later years. But that wasn’t the only reason – they needed more help in the shop! So it made sense to keep Christmas alive in Greer, South Carolina for him when he arrived.

Heather and Patrick have been preparing for weeks, excited at the prospect of many more Christmases ahead with Daniel. Living at a distance, they know their relationship will only continue to deepen.
