Kilowatt (kW)

A kilowatt (kW) is a unit of measurement used to measure power. It is equivalent to 1,000 watts and is commonly used to measure the output of electrical appliances and machines. The term kilowatt-hour (kWh) is often used to describe the amount of energy consumed by an appliance or machine in one hour. Kilowatts are also commonly used to measure the capacity or output of electrical systems such as solar panels and wind turbines.
