Sky glow is a term used to describe the brightening of the night sky due to artificial light sources. This phenomenon is most commonly seen in urban areas – where buildings, billboards and streetlights can all cause this type of light pollution. Sky glow is actually linked to several different issues, many of which are quite serious such as ecological disruption and poor mental health stemming from long-term exposure to unnatural light levels.
