Lumen Depreciation

Lumen depreciation refers to the decrease in light output, or brightness, over time. All light sources experience a gradual decrease in output as they age; this process is referred to as lumen depreciation. Lumen depreciation can be caused by factors such as age, usage, and environmental conditions. In some cases, bulb manufacturers may list the average life expectancy for their product in terms of lumens.
