Light is electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye. It has a range of different wavelengths, from ultraviolet light to infrared light. Light plays an important role in the natural world, providing us with illumination, giving us our day/night cycle and allowing us to see the colors around us. Light also provides energy for plants through photosynthesis and is used in many applications such as photography, projection systems and communication technology.
