27 Christmas Light Displays in Lancashire Support Children’s Hospice

Lancashire Christmas Lights

Families joined in on the Deck the Halls tour, with a map of all the light displays – helping to raise funds and awareness for Derian House, an organization that looks after 400 children and young people with life-limiting illnesses across the north west. One house in Leyland was brimming with bright lights and festive figures – home to Joan Mills, who recently celebrated her 70th birthday. She said: “Lighting up my house is my way of supporting this brilliant local charity and also my way of honoring those I have lost over the past few years – my husband Malcolm, my mum, my daughter’s fiancé, my sister and dad.” Kerry Pritchard, Community Fundraiser at Derian House, expressed her gratitude for everyone coming together to show their support: “We are grateful to everyone who took part and raised vital funds to help us care for our children.”
