Splice

Splice, in the context of lighting design, is a term used to refer to the method of connecting two electrical wires together. This is typically done by stripping away the insulation from either wire and then twisting them around each other before wrapping them up with tape or a mechanical connector. Splicing is a useful technique for when extensions are needed or when an existing circuit needs to be extended or connected to another one.
