A photocell sensor is an electronic device which detects changes in light intensity and converts the light energy into electrical signals. It works by using semiconductors that react when exposed to changes in light, such as day turning to night. Photocell sensors are used for a variety of applications, including streetlights, automatic doors, motion sensors and burglar alarms.
