Gobo

A gobo is a stencil or template used in lighting to create patterns or textures from light. Gobos are typically made from metal, glass, or plastic, and act as a filter which allows only certain portions of the light passing through to reach the intended surface. Common applications for gobos include projection onto walls, floors, curtains, and other surfaces for decorative purposes. Gobos can also be used to create custom logos, text, or shapes when combined with lighting fixtures.
